We feature one of the most generous royalty structures in the self-publishing industry–up to 55% of your book's suggested

The SRP is a guideline set by FriesenPress based on your book’s page count, book type (black & white or color), book size (5x8, 6x9, etc), and book binding (paperback or hardcover). You are free to keep this price, or to choose a retail price that is higher or lower than the suggested price depending on what the market for the book’s genre will bear.

For example, if your 6x9 paperback has an SRP of $15.95 and you choose to keep this amount as your book's retail price, then we will pay you royalties of $1.60 (10%) and $8.77 (55%) respectively for each trade channel. If your book is a business title, a category that generally commands a higher retail price, then re-pricing it to, say $20.95, will generate royalties of $2.10 and $11.52 respectively. When choosing a retail price that goes below the suggested price, then your royalty rates will be decreased in proportion to the price reduction. The lowest possible retail price that you can choose is that which brings your royalty rate to zero percent (break-even point).

Note: Large booksellers often discount book prices in order to attract buyers. For example, a novel listed on the Amazon.com web site for $14.95 may actually be offered for sale at $9.95 (a 33% discount). These sales incentives are absorbed by the bookseller and have no impact on your royalty payments, which are strictly based on the retail price that you set.
