Copyright registration with the U.S. Copyright Office affords an added level of legal protection for your work (for example, to support your case should you have to take a third party to court for plagiarism). We will complete and submit on your behalf all necessary forms to register the copyright of your book.

How do I get started?

1. Select this service as part of your publishing submission process, or if already signed, complete the FriesenPress Service Order Form (click here to download). Your author account manager will be glad to assist you with this step.
2. As soon as your book is published, we will submit the required forms plus two copies of your title to the U.S.Copyright Office.
3. Once we receive the registration certificate we will send you a copy (note: this process may take several weeks, sometimes months, depending on the backlog of applications at the U.S. Copyright Office).
