Footnotes & Endnotes

A footnote is an explanatory note placed at the bottom of a page referencing the main body of text above. Footnotes are labeled with ascending superscript numbers. An endnote is similar to a footnote, except that instead of appearing at the bottom of a page they are grouped together at the end of a chapter.

The insertion of footnotes and endnotes into a manuscript require specialized formatting that lies outside the scope of our standard book layout. Depending on your choice of publishing package, you'll get a number of footnotes or endnotes free of charge. Additional footnotes or endnotes will be billed separately as shown below.

If your manuscript exceeds the number of footnotes or endnotes included in your package, we will provide you with a detailed quote for any extra billing that might be required in order to proceed with the work. In all cases, you will make the final decision as to how you want to proceed before any extra work is billed.
