At FriesenPress, we want to ensure that your publishing experience goes as smoothly as possible so that you can focus your attention on what really counts: generating demand for your book. The five steps below describe our easy to follow process.

1. Identify the services that best address your publishing needs

   On this website you will find a breakdown of our publishing services followed by our publishing agreement and order form. Our Publishing Consultants are available by phone 1-888-378-6793 or 1-888-3STORY3 or email publishnow@friesenspress.com to help you identify the service that best fits your book project and to help you complete the sign-up documents.

2. Complete your order form and sign your publishing agreement

   After we receive your signed copy of the agreement along with payment, you will be assigned an Author Account Manager, who will manage every detail of your book while it goes through our publishing process. Your Author Account Manager will be your internal champion at FriesenPress, ensuring that the production of your book stays always on track.

3. Submit your book materials

   Once you are ready to submit your book materials, we’ll send you our Manuscript Submission Checklist. This document will show you how to submit your book materials (text, photographs, illustrations, etc.) so that the publishing process goes as smoothly as possible. Your Author Account Manager will gladly assist you with any questions you may have about our submission guidelines.

4. Discuss your book vision with your Author Account Manager

   Once we receive your book materials, your Author Account Manager will set up a meeting with you to discuss your ideas about how you want the cover and interior of your book to look. Once your vision is clearly defined, your Author Account Manager will forward your materials to our book-design team, who will layout the book based on your vision.

5. Do a full review, make final changes, and sign off your proof

   Once your book layout is completed, your Author Account Manager will send you a proof for your review. At this stage you may go through one or more rounds of revisions. Once you are happy with the outcome, you will sign off the final proof and choose the retail price of your book. Our production team will then submit your title to our distribution channels.
